Reviews
Wow. Really liked this. We wanted to try something different and even though I am from Miami I wasn't too familiar with Puerto Rican food. I really liked the mofongo and the fried pork. The chicken was pretty good. I think everything would've been better either in the store or just hotter. (The fries weren't warm). We will definitely be trying this place again.
Amazing food. Eating it while writing this review. I ordered mofongo w Pollo aljillo. The taste of the mofongo is so good!!! soft and cook till perfection the pechuga is so flavorful. Definitely the best mofongo. My order was to go and was perfectly placen
It looks pretty bland on the outside. Inside it's a beachy feel with lots of tables, a counter, and (the night we were there) someone playing music. It's definitely Boricua food. Monfongo, bifongo, trifongo . . . Since it was our first time in, we tried a lot of different items. The Monfongo with chicharones de pollo was excellent. The pastillilo de carne was good. The papas locas (with carne) was really good. It was so big, we couldn't finish it. We ordered it for an appetizer but it really could be an entree. The arroz con gondules was good. It could have had a little more flavor, but it was fine. I ordered a side of the trifongo since only the monfongo came with the entrees. I really liked their trifongo. Hubby got the pina colada frappe and it was very good, very fresh. Definitely a good place to visit. Street parking. Service was a little scattered and it took a lot longer for our food than expected. Lots of families and lots of people taking out, in addition to almost packed tables. Go, enjoy the Boricua food and feel like you're on an island. :)
Food was great hot even it was delivered by door dash. They cook Boricua on point. Need another trip just for the food
